13 weeks and change

I'm less miserable than last time. Things have turned around in the last 3 weeks! My morning (all day) sickness is gone. GONNNNNNE!!! And just in time, too. Chris and I got back from a week on a Caribbean cruise on Sunday, and the water was extremely vomit inducing. It may have been the wrath of Harlowe for leaving her. She had a blast with her grandparents, aunts and cousins, but she just stopped making us pay for her abandonment yesterday. Needless to say, we won't be doing that again any time soon! It was too hard on all of us!

Okay on to the good stuff. I'm about to enter the second trimester. One-third of the way there, probably less, since Harlowe made an early arrival. Holy $&%@! I'm not ready for that, moving on...

My belly growth has slowed and I think I look more like a normal 3-months pregnant person. But don't use this picture to judge that, it was after a 4 course meal. What, it was delicious!!

Let me also say that a cruise is a pregnant woman's delight. So much food, so little time!

We had another ultrasound this week, and this kid is pretty funny already. The whole time s/he sat like this: sitting, legs stretched out in front, just munching on hands.

The rest of the time was spent planking and floating. Basically being generally uncooperative for the tech! It always amazes me to watch them flail around in there, I feel like you can get a sense of their personality. Pretty soon I'll be able to feel him moving around in there! Then the bonding can really begin. : )

St. Douche, Part Deuce

I'm already behind the ball. In 2 days, I will be 11 weeks pregnant! 11 weeks, going on at least 8 months. I'm already over it, is what I'm saying. Okay, not really. But here's why:

Top 5 reasons this kid is already grounded

5. I'm enormous. It's like as soon as I found out I was pregnant, my abs were like, sweet, VACA! Here I am at 9 weeks. It's about what I looked like at 13 weeks with Harlowe! I've been wearing maternity pants for a month, FFS!

4. Morning sickness.

3. Afternoon sickness + heartburn.

2. NIGHT SICKNESS. No sweet relief of barfing, either. Just a general feeling of gross. I know I wrote about feeling nausea with Harlowe, but I don't remember it. It wasn't like this, fo sho! It's tapering off to only feeling kinda sick at night. I'm ready for it to go way entirely!

1. I don't have a #1 reason...crap. So pretend I said 4 and reorder in your head?

This is from our first ultrasound, isn't he cute?! It was pretty funny to watch him move around in there. Like a jelly bean with little arm and leg stumps flapping.

I still see a puppy when I look at this picture. Or if I put the head on the right side it kind of looks like a hamster in a wheel. With a party hat on! Fetuses are funny!

Well, that's all for now. I'm hoping to do more frequent posts with less in them, because let's face it, working with a toddler is hard, and right now I need to figure out what to do with all of my clothes in my closet room, which will become this kid's room. And that is very daunting. You should see the amount of stuff I now have to stuff somewhere in our room! Anywho...
