17 weeks, about to enter holy shit mode

Has it really been 3 weeks? I'm bad at keeping promises...to myself. Because let's face it, I'm the one who will revisit this blog and wish I'd remembered half of the stuff going on!

Things that are different from Harlowe's pregnancy:

1. Morning sickness - with Harlowe, nothing memorable. This time, is it too late to adopt? It's over now, but hot damn I really feel for women who have it for months on end.

2. Sciatica - I had terrible sciatica (some a-hole nerve in the base of your spine making the hip and butt feel like they're aflame) last time. Not so much now. The plane ride home from Houston was uncomfortable, but that's about it. My back is suffering in other ways, though. Sometimes I think I'm becoming paralyzed.

3. Dreams - let's just say that some random and unwanted people have entered my dreams in weird ways the last few weeks, and it makes me look at them funny.

Here I am in my pajamas at 17 weeks of glory, looking round and definitely knocked up and not fat. The belly is already heavy, as are my boobs, which probably weigh a good 20 pounds each at this point...that's a lie but it might as well be true.

I think I'm in denial at just how fast things are moving along at this point. 17 weeks is when I first felt Harlowe moving. Nothing yet from this kid, except maybe that thump I felt last week on some organ was it? I just stopped sleeping on my stomach. Oops.

Progress has been made on the closet situation; we're getting closer to having an actual bedroom to put this kid in, yay!

Well, that's all for now! We don't find out the gender for another month, so everyone can just stop asking me 6 times a day. JEEZ!
